||RJ - Fine As Wine: Instrumentals
Ramon “RJ” Jacinto started playing the guitar when he was 12. His mom bought him a cheap locally-made starter guitar.
After 50 years of guitar play, veteran guitarist RJ goes back to the roots of a guitar’s true tone. At the heart of the album is RJ’s brilliant technical performance and the minimalistic recording which captures the pure tone of RJ’s favorite No.1 guitars (Super Vintage RJ guitar, RJ’s ’61 Fender Jazzmaster, Fender Strat, Fender Telecaster, RJ EX-3 semi-hollow electric guitar).
“To achieve a pure sound, I plugged the guitars directly into the Pro Tools audio-interface and hardly equalize it to get the natural tone.”
The recording was stripped down with little or next to none effect pedals. Audiophile recording was done at a selective 24 bit / 48 khz to allow audience hear every bit of the guitar tunes. Music, like fine wine, comes strong and smooth in this album tailored for easy listeners. It was divinely jazzy with a tasteful dab of blues.
